Tempe City Council incumbent Ben Arredondo leads all East Valley candidates this season with nearly $144,000 in campaign contributions. Chandler Mayor Boyd Dunn is next with $76,000 to date, followed by his challenger, Chandler City Councilman Phill Westbrooks, with nearly $63,000.

Mayoral and city council candidates were required to file their second campaign finance reports on Thursday that disclose contributions and expenditures for the period of Jan. 1 through Feb. 22. The maximum contribution allowed from one individual is $370 and $1,890 from a political action committee.
