William Craig Miller, a Scottsdale man accused of killing five people in 2005 in Mesa, pleaded guilty on Friday to filing a fraudulent insurance claim.
The guilty plea comes as Miller is awaiting trial in Maricopa County Superior Court on five murder charges. He is scheduled to be sentenced Monday.
Earlier this year, Miller pleaded guilty to another fraud charge so he could be transferred to a state prison, where food and conditions are better than county jails. However, Miller was only in prison temporarily before being moved back to county jails to await the murder trial. Miller is accused of killing two adults, two teens and a 10-year-old boy.
