Aloft Tempe, the first new hotel in Tempe in a decade, will hold an invitation-only grand opening celebration from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at 951 E. Playa Del Norte Drive, near Loop 202 and Rural Road.
The $25 million hotel, which opened in February, is the first Arizona property for the new lifestyle hotel brand by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. The hotel combines modern design with technologically advanced guest services at an affordable price, the company said.
The five-story hotel features 136 guest rooms.
