Pre-construction for the Arizona Temple in Gilbert for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is scheduled to begin within the next few weeks when underground power lines are put in at the site.

Once the approval process from Gilbert Design Review Board is complete, a groundbreaking ceremony will take place at the site, located at the southeast corner of Greenfield and Pecos roads. The 81,000-square foot temple will take approximately 24 months to complete.
