The Chandler Police Department and Emergency Restoration Experts are hosting an all-you-can eat fundraiser on Friday for fallen Chandler police undercover detective Carlos Ledesma and two undercover detectives who were injured during an incident in July.

The fundraiser, an all-you-can eat pizza and wings dinner for $5, will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Native New Yorker, 1301 E. Broadway in Tempe. Drinks cost extra.

Ledesma, 34, was shot and killed during an undercover drug deal in a south Phoenix residence on July 28, and two other undercover detectives were injured. Both surviving detectives have been released from the hospital and are recuperating at home, according to information from the Chandler Police Department.

The fundraiser is part of a pre-party event for the department's 10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler to benefit the families of Ledesma and the two injured detectives.

Not to be indelicate about the matter, but what exactly is the fundraiser for?

Cops have a *very* generous medical benefits program, not do mention both disability and life insurance plans.
