Mesa's LA Fitness on Saturday will host a Mesa Police Department child safety expo promoting ways to keep children healthy, safe and fit. There will be treats such as hot dogs, snow cones, popcorn, water and soda, a bounce house and a water slide. Free child identification cards and DNA swabs will be provided.
Mesa police will be there with their helicopter, command and crime scene vans, patrol cars and motorcycles, and there will be a fire truck and other attractions and booths.
The fair takes place 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. LA Fitness is at 445 N. Stapley Drive, on the northeast corner of University and Stapley drives.
