Maricopa County is seeking the public’s input on nine candidates for a vacancy on the Superior Court.
The candidates are Aimee L. Anderson, Edward W. Bassett, Susan M. Brnovich, Christopher A. Coury, Donna L. Elm, M. Scott McCoy, Benjamin R. Norris, David J. Palmer and Benjamin E. Vatz.
Residents are encouraged to attend a hearing at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Arizona State Courts building, 1501 W. Washington St., Phoenix, to give input to the Commission on Trial Court Appointments.
Candidates will be interviewed publicly beginning at 10 a.m.
Written, signed comments about candidates must be e-mailed by Monday to jnc@courts.az.gov.
After the interviews, the commission will recommend at least three nominees to Gov. Janet Napolitano, who will appoint the new judge.
