PHOENIX - The park where two Phoenix TV news helicopters crashed last Friday, killing all four on board, remains closed.

National Transportation Safety Board investigators on Monday wrapped up the onsite investigation at Steele Indian School Park.

However, the central Phoenix park remains closed while Phoenix police conduct their own investigation.

As part of that investigation, officers plan to drain the pond in the park and search it for clues as to what caused the collision of Channel 3's and Channel 15's news helicopters. Federal investigators also looked at the pond.
