Gilbert made its first allocation from a utility bill donation program to the Boys and Girls Club. Gilbert residents donated $7,566 in fiscal 2009-2010 through their utility bills or www.gilbertaz.gov.

The donations will be used by the club to support after-school and educational programs for neighborhood children and teenagers.

It is part of $111,249 in funding the town provides to the local branch of the Boys & Girls Club, as part of the town's community services funding through the Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program.

Information: (480) 503-6800 or https://www.gilbertaz.gov/eForms/donations/default.cfm.
