A man was treated at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea hospital for a minor arm injury late Sunday after his car struck the back of a Scottsdale police cruiser.

As officer Valerie Mills was driving west on Shea Boulevard, a 51-year-old man was driving south on Hayden Road and struck the rear of Mills' cruiser.

Mills, an 18-month employee of the Scottsdale Police Department, was not injured as she was responding to a burglary call in the 11000 block of North 75th Street.

No citations have been issued, and the burglary call later was deemed unfounded, according to police.
