Apache Junction plans hearing on school safety

Apache Junction is holding a public hearing to discuss safety improvements planned around Four Peaks Elementary School and the adjacent neighborhood.

The city is applying for a Safe Routes to School grant from the Arizona Department of Transportation, with plans to make it safer for children to get to school. The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Apache Junction City Council Chambers, 300 E. Superstition Blvd. Information: Call (480) 474-2635 or email hpatel@ajcity.net.
