A driver who police say ran a red light was partially ejected from her sport utility vehicle Thursday in a collision that injured two people in Chandler.

Chandler police spokesman Sgt. Rick Griner said the driver of a white GMC Yukon was speeding about 1 a.m. when she ran a red light at Ray and McQueen roads and crashed into a white Toyota sedan.

Griner said the Yukon rolled at least once and came to rest about 200 feet from the intersection.

The woman driving the Yukon was taken to a hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive, and the woman driving the Toyota suffered a broken collar bone, Griner said.
