The intersection of Ellsworth Road and Empire Boulevard will close from Dec. 20 through March 15 to install a drainage culvert. During this time, only right turns will be permitted from westbound Empire onto Ellsworth.
Also, traffic in either direction of Ellsworth will only be able to make left turns onto Empire.
The work is part of a Queen Creek and Maricopa Department of Transportation project to widen the two-lane Ellsworth into a six-lane road. Information: www.SouthEllsworthRoad.com.
