SALT LAKE CITY — Officials from the Republican National Committee are finishing up a three-state tour to determine who will host the 2012 Republican National Convention.
The Site Selection Committee is deciding whether to hold the annual convention in Phoenix, Salt Lake City or Tampa, Fla. in 2012.
Convention members are scheduled to vote in July on which city will host the convention.
Officials say the convention could bring 45,000 people to the host city and millions of dollars in business.
While in Utah, committee members were scheduled to see Temple Square, a Utah Jazz game at potential host site, EnergySolutions arena, and visit Utah Olympic Park outside Park City.
The site visit was scheduled to end Wednesday.
