In an apparent fight Oct. 9 between an estranged husband and wife, a shooting ended the life of a man, Maricopa police reported Wednesday.
At approximately 11 p.m. Maricopa police responded to a call near the intersection of Duncan Road and McCord Drive, where Paul Spencer was found dead. Police questioned and took into custody a suspect, James Robert Tanner, 49, charging him on Oct. 10 with first-degree murder.
The case has been turned over to the Pinal County Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
