Shari Irion, an adaptive/adapted physical education teacher at Gilbert Unified School District was recently named Arizona's Adapted Physical Education Teacher of the Year.

Irion was honored at the annual conference of the Arizona Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance.
