A male graduate student shot and killed himself on Arizona State University's Tempe campus Monday.
ASU spokeswoman Julie Newberg confirmed the incident and said classes continued since there was no threat to the campus.
Students were notified of the incident through a text message.
The apparent suicide took place at the Architecture South building in the presence of a faculty member.
The building is closed until further notice.
