Calls to boycott Arizona over its immigration enforcement law are spreading across social media sites. A Twitter tweet, a Facebook message, and protesters can quickly spread the word to stay away.
Since Gov. Jan Brewer signed the immigration enforcement bill, calls to boycott Arizona meeting sites, the Grand Canyon and even the Arizona Diamondbacks have gained momentum.
The law makes it a state crime to be in Arizona illegally and requires police and other law-enforcement agents to check documents of people they reasonably suspect to be illegal.
The state's business community has begun fighting back.
The Arizona Hotel and Lodging Association set up its own Facebook page asking the public not to punish 200,000 tourism employees because of politics.
