Banner Health, which has several locations in the East Valley, has been named as one of the top five large health systems in the country based on clinical performance, according to Thomson Reuters and Modern Healthcare magazine.
Thomson Reuters reviewed data from more than 300 organizations and singled out five hospital systems that achieved superior clinical outcomes based on eight measures of quality, patient perception of care and efficiency. Thomson Reuters identified "large" organizations as those with more than $1.5 billion in total operating expenses.
Banner was recognized for having superior survival rates, better long-term outcomes, better adherence to accepted care protocols and patient-safety standards, shorter hospital stays, higher patient-satisfaction scores and fewer patient complications.

You couldn't PAY ME to go to Banner Baywood again. It's the worst hospital I've ever been in...........and I've been in DOZENS of them. So far Banner Gateway has proven to be better. I'd NEVER EVER go to Baywood!!!!!!!!!!
