A Fountain Hills man faces three felony charges and one misdemeanor charge in the sexual assault of an exotic dancer.

Ryan Rohr, 44, was booked Sunday in Maricopa County's Madison Street Jail in Phoenix on felony charges of aggravated assault, kidnapping, sexual assault and misdemeanor assault, said Sgt. Paul Chagolla of the county sheriff's office.

According to jail officials, Rohr is being held without bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled Monday.

Rohr is suspected of contacting the victim after reading an advertisement for a Las Vegas-style dancer placed by the woman in New Times, a Phoenix alternative newspaper, Chagolla said. The victim arrived by chauffeured car to Rohr's apartment in the 13700 block of North Fountain Hills Boulevard about 7:30 p.m. July 12, where she and Rohr agreed on the terms for an hour of exotic dancing, Chagolla said.

Rohr later offered additional money to the victim for a night of sexual services, which the victim refused, Chagolla said.

"Shortly after is when she was attacked from behind, she was punched and struck in the head with a vase," he said. "He pummeled her pretty aggressively."

The victim was able to escape from the apartment to the complex parking lot where her chauffeur was waiting for her, Chagolla said. They called for help from the car.

The victim was transported by Rural/Metro Fire to an undisclosed hospital for treatment and where she was interviewed by deputies, Chagolla said.

When Rohr initially was contacted by deputies at the complex, he lied about who he was, Chagolla said. He then was taken to the sheriff's substation in Fountain Hills for questioning, where he admitted his involvement, Chagolla said.
