Arizona SADD has partnered with Taser International and several other safety-focused advocacy groups to hold the first Arizona Distracted Driving Youth Summit on Nov. 11 at ASU. The event will bring Arizona high school students together to develop an effective safe driving campaign that teens can bring back to their local schools and communities.
Traffic crashes are the leading cause of death for teen drivers. In an August survey of teens, released by AAA and Seventeen magazine, 60 percent said they have talked on a cell phone and 28 percent have sent a text message while driving.
Interested teens can register for the event at www.AZDDYS.com or email info@protector.com.
