The supporters of an incorporated San Tan Valley are seeking additional backing for their effort Tuesday from Gilbert. The Town Council will consider giving its approval to San Tan Valley's incorporation, following a vote of support last week from Mesa.
The community must get approval from incorporated areas within six miles of its proposed borders to become a city of its own under Arizona law. The Citizens for San Tan Valley Incorporation are also seeking approval from Coolidge, Florence and Queen Creek.
The roughly 80,000 residents of the proposed city would also need to approve incorporation. Supporters are gathering signatures to place a measure on the November ballot.

Why don't you just merge and save money? Join an elite community you can identify with, ...like AJ or Florence![wink]

AJ and Florence are still pretty far away, the closest community would be Queen Creek which currently treats the Pinal County portion of it's residents like a bunch free loaders. San Tan Valley is the largest populated area in Pinal already. Merging might not be out of the question, I think it should at least be discussed.

Where can I sign to place this on the November ballot?
