Residents interested in learning more about solar energy and how it can help save money on energy costs for homes or businesses can attend Chandler’s “All About Solar” workshop from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Tumbleweed Recreation Center, 745 E. Germann Road.

The course will explain the basics of solar electricity and solar water heating. It will also help residents understand how to take advantage of solar incentives that help to make solar a more affordable energy option.

The free workshop is part of the “Your Green Life Now!” conservation program being sponsored by the city. The workshops are being held through June.

For more information, or to reserve a seat, call 480-782-2890 or send an e-mail to eec@chandleraz.gov.
