There will be a new way to enter Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport from the east starting Monday. A new ramp will open to connect southbound state Route 143 to westbound Sky Harbor Boulevard, beginning with the Monday morning rush hour.
At the same time, crews will re-open a reconstructed northbound Route 143 ramp to westbound Sky Harbor Boulevard, which had been closed since March. The ramp openings complete a $18 million project by the Arizona Department of Transportation to modernize the freeway connections on the airport’s east side.
