Police arrested three people accused of robbing a Chandler jewelry and clothing store on Monday, two of whom were released from an Arizona Department of Corrections prison earlier this year, including one on an attempted first-degree murder conviction.

Within five minutes of an armed robbery at Nancy Jewelry and Clothing, 1048 N. Arizona Ave., about 10:30 a.m., police located a stolen pickup truck that two of the suspects were traveling in as they pulled into the parking lot of a pawn shop near Alma School and Ray roads, according to police.

Ruben Mendietta, 26, who had served time in prison for attempted first-degree murder, and Andrew Bochinclonny, 29, who had been in prison on a robbery conviction, were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery Monday, according to police. Jose Solis, 21, the third suspect, was arrested Tuesday, police said.

Two of the men held store employees at gunpoint while they stole trays of jewelry before two of the suspects fled in the truck, police said.

Most of the stolen jewelry was recovered with the firearms used in the robbery, police said.
