Faith Yi, an AP English language and composition student at Chandler's Hamilton High School, took first place in the 11/12 grade category of the 2013 Polly Rosenbaum Writing Contest sponsored by Arizona Educational Foundation.

Faith is invited to attend the Arizona Statehood Day ceremony on Feb. 14 in the Historic Senate Chambers at the State Capitol for an awards ceremony.

After the awards ceremony, top winners and a guest will go to the Rose Garden for a luncheon where the first-place entries will be read by students.
