The driver of a Honda is in critical condition after crashing into a semi-tractor trailer early today.
According to Tempe police spokesman Sgt. Mike Horn, police are trying to figure out why the southbound Honda hit the tractor-trailer because there were no skid marks left by the Honda, and other vehicles had stopped for the rig as it backed out of private drive just north of Alameda Drive and 48th Street.
“It looks like he hit the tractor-trailer at full speed,” Horn said.
The driver of the Honda was taken to Maricopa County Medical Center.
