A mural 25 feet tall and 25 feet wide will soon appear on the side of a parking garage that overlooks the Downtown Tempe Urban Garden.

Tempe artist Wiley Wallace will begin work mid-June on the mural at the southwest corner of 5th Street and Forest Avenue. The mural is called Growing Garden and will depict a surrealist look at the cycle of gardening.

The mural will be complete by early July. It is funded by the non-profit Downtown Tempe Community. Wallace was selected as the artist by a DTC committee of staff, local artists and members of the Tempe Arts Commission.
