Two administrators from Higley and Gilbert school districts and a Higley principal were appointed Wednesday as principals in the Chandler Unified School District.

The Chandler school board approved the new appointments for the upcoming school year in their consent agenda, said district spokesman Terry Locke.

Ken James, the executive director of educational services for the Gilbert Unified School District, will be the principal of Chandler’s Basha High School.

Lynn Weed, an assistant superintendent of teaching and learning for the Higley Unified School District, will be the principal of Jacobson Elementary School in Chandler.

Pam Nephew, principal of Higley’s Gateway Pointe Elementary School, will be the principal of Haley Knutsen Elementary School, set to open in the summer in the Layton Lakes community in Gilbert.
