Metro and Mesa officials will hold a community event Monday to unveil the first of several signs that will soon mark the path of a 3.1-mile light rail extension.
At the event, guests can autograph one of the signs, get updates on the project, eat breakfast and win raffle prizes from local businesses. Guests will include Mayor Scott Smith, Metro CEO Steve Banta and David Short, executive director of the Downtown Mesa Association. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the southeast corner of Main Street and Center, in front of the Mesa Arts Center.
