The northbound Loop 101 Price Freeway frontage road will close this weekend at Chandler Boulevard as crews relocate a gas line and repair pavement. The closure will begin at 10 p.m. Friday and extend until 5 a.m. Monday.
During the closure, no traffic will be allowed northbound from Chandler Boulevard and the closure will cut off northbound access to the freeway on-ramp. Northbound traffic on the frontage road, and east-west traffic on Chandler Boulevard, will be detoured east to Dobson Road, north to Ray Road and then back west to the Loop 101.
The gas line relocation work is part of a $2.1 million project to widen Chandler Boulevard at the freeway. The project will add bicycle lanes and a second left-turn lane for westbound and southbound traffic under the freeway.
