Chandler police arrested the 20-year-old mother of a toddler who is on life support Wednesday on suspicion of not protecting her.
According to Detective Frank Mendoza, Chandler police spokesman, the arrest of Josefa Talavera is the second one in the case.
Police arrested Jeramias Aguilar on Saturday after they were called to a home in the 200 block of North Fresno Street for an unresponsive child.
Police say Aguilar threw the child to the floor in front of Talavera and she did not call 911 for at least two hours.
