TUCSON - Authorities say a Tucson woman doused herself with gasoline and lit herself on fire after she had just been released from jail, causing severe injuries.
Pima County sheriff's Deputy Dawn Barkman said Monday that the woman was jailed Saturday after she was arrested because of an outstanding warrant.
She was released on Sunday. The woman lit herself on fire just after she had arrived home, causing severe burns.
The woman was flown to the Arizona Burn Center at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix.
Her boyfriend also was injured when he tried to put her out. He was treated locally.
It's unclear why the woman lit herself on fire.
