The city deserves kudos for maintaining clean, fun, quality parks through out Mesa. Have you been to a city of Mesa park lately? Go out and enjoy!

Mesa needs more urban lakes. Since Riverview has been closed we only have 1 park that has fishing, which is Red Mountain Lake. Red Mountain needs a lot of remodeling. The lake needs the center of it thinned out. It isn't user friendly for the fisher person. I think Chandler's Desert Breeze Lake is an example of what we need in Mesa. There needs to be more things that low income families can afford and enjoy as a family. How many can afford to go as a family to a ballgame?

So, the people who enjoyed Riverview's amenities for years can now drive 20 miles to the east to "enjoy" the desert?
Or, pay $50.00 per person to go to a baseball game. Never mind that the entire $100,000,000.00 facility will sit vacant for 10 months out of every year, denying the people who paid for it any benefit of its use.

How about we waste some money on decent roads, how about we try to get rid of some of the noise from the loud stereos and base units that rattle your windows?
Those are some of the biggest complaints I hear from the snowbirds and public in general. Go outside the city proper and see first hand what a mess it is.

While I'm here, if we ever do get someone to do the road work, lets hope we get someone qualified for a change. Someone who could maybe actually get the man hole covers level with the road. Come on Scott, try to take a look at whats outside the city proper for a change.
