Disabled athletes will come together Sept. 29 for the 2012 Ability Ball at the annual fundraiser for Arizona Disabled Sports. The event will include recognizing two outstanding athletes for their performance in the adaptive sports programs, as well as a silent and live auction, dinner, music and dancing. The fundraiser supports AzDs in its mission to provide quality sports and recreation programs for individuals with disabilities. AzDs is a nonprofit that has provided special events and sports competitions since 1989.
Tickets for the fundraiser begin at $125 per seat, with discounts for athletes registered with Team Mesa or the Arizona Heat. The event begins at 5 p.m. at the Tempe Mission Palms, 60 E.
