The Arizona Board of Regents is in discussions with Lake Havasu City, the Lake Havasu Unified School District and the Lake Havasu Foundation for Higher Education regarding Arizona State University undergraduate degree programs beginning in the fall of 2011.

A memorandum of understanding will be submitted to the Lake Havasu City Council for approval at its regularly scheduled meeting March 23. The school district and foundation will also review the proposed agreement before anything is final.

ASU and Lake Havasu City officials say that if everything comes together, ASU would offer a limited number of high-demand degrees, such as business and education, and have lower tuition levels than Arizona's research universities.
