Chandler Unified School District governing board member Rob Barney will submit his resignation to the board next week. Barney and his family will be relocating as he takes a new job. His resignation will be effective June 16.
Barney's replacement will be selected by Maricopa County School Superintendent Don Covey, with some input from a district committee, including a governing board member and the superintendent. After the board accepts Barney's resignation, information about the replacement process will be released. His term is scheduled to end December 2012.
