Tempe is asking 2,400 of its residents to respond to a satisfaction survey that will be arriving in mailboxes later this month. The city is working on its annual survey now, which asks randomly selected residents for input on things ranging from parks and streets to police service.

The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete, and surveys come with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to return. Some residents may get a phone call reminding them to respond to the survey.

The survey is done by ETC Institute of Olathe, Kan. Results remain confidential and the city is not informed who received or returned surveys. ETC will present results to the city next year.

This is something the city of Mesa would never do. They just dictate to us what they want to do.

Please make sure they are 'legal' residents.
