Maricopa County Animal Care and Control is holding a free rabies vaccination clinic for dogs and cats. The clinic will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Ace Hardware parking lot, 23954 S. Power Road, Queen Creek.

Dogs must be on a leash less than six feet in length and cats need to be in carriers.

Rabies, an infectious viral disease, affects the nervous system of humans and other mammals. It is almost always fatal once symptoms appear. Rabies can be eliminated by maintaining current rabies vaccinations.
