Republican Max Wilson has been elected chairman of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors for the 2012 session. This is the Litchfield Park resident’s third time as board chairman. The chairmanship is rotated annually among board members, four of whom are Republicans.

Wilson was first appointed to the board of supervisors in Feb. 2002.

Wilson says he plans to work toward a “significant” lower property tax on residents this year and to get government out of the way so jobs can be created in Maricopa County.
