Drivers will find two closed Loop 101 segments this weekend as crews continue to pave over concrete with rubberized asphalt.

The longest-lasting closure will be on the westbound Pima Freeway leg of Loop 101, from Scottsdale Road to Tatum Boulevard. The section will close from 9 p.m. today to 5 a.m. Monday.

Drivers should expect delays if they stay on the freeway until the closure. They should exit ahead of the work to avoid traffic jams, the Arizona Department of Transportation advised.

ADOT’s recommended westbound detour is Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard to Tatum or state Route 51.

To the south, drivers will find the southbound lanes of Loop 101 closed at the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway interchange.

The closure is from 9 p.m. today to noon Saturday. ADOT suggests drivers exit ahead of the closure to avoid backups.

ADOT also plans these closures:

• Westbound Interstate 10 will close between 32nd Street and the split with Interstate-17 near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.

• I-17 will close from Bethany Home Road to Glendale Avenue from 9 p.m. today to noon Saturday.
