A 38-year-old man, whose blood alcohol content registered nearly four times the legal limit, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated DUI after a resident reported that the vehicle he was driving was in a non-injury collision and that the vehicle was driving on two of its rims.
John Wilcox was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 4400 block of E. Palmdale Lane in Gilbert, according to police.
Wilcox, whose preliminary BAC reading was .30, initially resisted arrest, but was later taken to Mercy Gilbert Medical Center for evaluation, police said.
The legal limit to be charged for a DUI is .08.
