A Scottsdale man accused of approaching a Gilbert woman to have sex with her 6-year-old daughter has pleaded innocent to child prostitution-related charges and is being held in a Maricopa County Jail on $25,000 bond.
Barry Jordan, 44, who was indicted on one count of attempted child prostitution in January, pleaded innocent to the charge on Feb. 13.
Jordan is accused of contacting the girl's mother by cell phone, text messages and e-mail last July, requesting to have sex with the girl, according to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.
On July 8, Jordan agreed to meet with the girl's mother when she told him that she would bring her daughter and he offered to pay $400 when he met with her and pay $100 cash later, according to the county attorney's office.
When Jordan went to meet the woman, he was met by police, according to the county attorney's office.
