Funeral services will be Friday for a 45-year-old Arizona State University police officer who lost his battle with cancer.
Patrick Lindbergh, a corporal on ASU’s police force, died Monday after a brief illness, according to information from the university.
Funeral services for Lindbergh will be 11 a.m. Friday at Love of Christ Lutheran Church, 1525 N. Power Road, Mesa.
Lindbergh was known for his upbeat attitude at work and for always being willing to go the extra mile in his job, according to information from ASU. He was selected to join the department’s motorcycle unit in 2002 and was a member of the Firearms Instructor Team.
Prior to joining ASU’s Police Department, Lindbergh worked for the cities of Chandler and Mesa as a park ranger and the Arizona Department of Corrections as a correctional officer.
