Customers of Salt River Project can now view power outage maps from their smartphones and tablets.

Prior to this, these maps on My Account, SRP’s online management tool, were only viewable from computers. Even if the power is out, many people have smartphones and can use the maps, a spokesman for SRP said. In addition, customers now have the ability to report an outage and request a call back when power is restored via their mobile device or home computer.

Since it was launched in 2000, My Account users have access to bill comparisons, payment and usage history as well as email and text-message notifications. Customers can access power outage information by signing on the My Account and My Account Mobile features on the SRP website at www.srpnet.com. They can then select “Outages & Storms” for a map of their address and zoom out up to eight miles around their home.
