Arizona gasoline prices drop this week

Arizona gasoline prices are slightly lower this week following the July 4 holiday weekend.

Officials with Triple-A Arizona said Thursday that the average price around the state for unleaded regular is $2.76 a gallon, down nearly 2 cents from last week.

The national average is $2.71 per gallon, nearly 4 cents lower than last week.

Tucson has the lowest average gas prices in Arizona at $2.56 a gallon while Flagstaff has the highest price at $2.96.

South Carolina still has the lowest price in the continental U.S. at $2.48 a gallon, and California the highest at $3.14.

    Your article states that Triple,AZ. reports average price per gal. for unleaded gasoline at the pump is only $2.76? Wow! I pay around $3.96per gal. per in East Mesa. Please show where I can fill up at $2.76 per gal. and I will be there in 5 minutes'.
