Authorities have identified the woman who died Sunday in a Queen Creek wreck as Lucy Ann Tumey of Gilbert.
Tumey, 75, was killed after her Honda Civic swerved into oncoming traffic and struck another car in the area of Ellsworth Road and Empire Boulevard, said Maricopa County sheriff’s spokeswoman Deputy Lindsey Smith.
Tumey was driving north on Ellsworth Road near Empire Boulevard when her car veered into southbound traffic and collided with a stopped Mercedes, pushing it into the car behind it, Smith said.
