A 38-year-old Scottsdale man was in intensive care at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn hospital with serious injuries after he was stabbed in the throat at his south Scottsdale home over a confrontation about money.

The attacker appeared at about 2:20 a.m. Friday at the victim’s home in the 3300 block of North 66th Street and spoke to the resident about money. A confrontation escalated into a fight, according to Scottsdale police.

It isn’t known if the resident knew his attacker, but police are investigating and looking for the assailant, who is described as tall and skinny, blond and in his early 20s.
