Missing Scottsdale man found

A 61-year-old Scottsdale man who was reported missing early Sunday by his family, has been found safe, according to Scottsdale police.

Thomas Burke, who was reported missing from his home at 7500 E. Deer Valley roads shortly after midnight Sunday, was found about 14 hours later in the area of Happy Valley and Alma School roads.

A witness who had earlier received a flier distributed by police recognized Burke as he was walking in the area

Burke, who suffers from schizophrenia, was not in need of medical care, police said.

He currently is being evaluated by Adult Protective Services.
