Gilbert will hold a new resident social 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 18 at the Southeast Regional Library, 775 N. Greenfield Road (at the southeast corner of Greenfield and Guadalpue roads).

The free event, sponsored by Gilbert’s Neighborhood Services Department and the Congress of Neighborhoods, will have representatives from various town departments sharing information about programs and services available to residents. Free newcomers’ kits with maps and other information about living in town will be handed out.

The events are held periodically throughout the year, and neighborhood managers and leaders can contact the town if they are interested in having additional new resident socials at their own facilities.

To make a reservation for the event, call (480) 503-6767 or e-mail Helga Stafford at helgas@ci.gilbert.az.us.
